Road Trip: Toddler Travel

When we were invited to a wedding in Charleston we were both psyched and, like all parents of a toddler, panicked with logistics. It wasn't until we mapped the 11 hour drive from NJ to SC that we were like ROAD TRIP. We've flown several dreadful times with our son: balancing him on our thighs to turn on and off lights, exploding poops during take off, him grabbing onto the seat in front of us, formula spilling with air pressure changes, etc. A trip by car seemed like the way to go...and we were right.

We kicked off the trip with his new forward facing Britax Marathon car seat and it was a total game changer. It started a new tradition of wanting to get in the car. And Riv loved exploring new hotels, cities, plantations, animals and finally warm weather.
