Riv Turns 5: Maplewood, NJ

My first born has turned 5! I can hardly believe it and yet I’m exhausted so it must be real. He’s cute and smart and funny and silly and sweet. He also loves surprises so we got him a light up disco ball but this was the first year that he had a clear idea of what he wanted. So he chose to celebrate with his whole class at Chuck E. Cheese, wanted a cake with candy inside and trick candles. So we gave him what he wanted and he was absolutely over the moon with smiles all day and with gratitude. “Mom, thank you for the stuff. Thank you for so many of these things. Thank you for the celebration.” With all my heart, Riv…with all my heart.
